The Bryan Allen Stevenson School of Excellence (BASSE) launched its inaugural year on September 3, 2024! With over 200 students from across Sussex County, our school is off to an inspiring start, and we couldn’t have reached this milestone without the support of people like you.
BASSE is housed in the former Howard T. Ennis school building on
the Delaware Technical and Community College campus in Georgetown. We serve
6th, 7th, and 8th grade students, offering a unique educational experience that
combines academic excellence with community engagement.
In our first year, we’ve already created a vibrant school
culture—students have enjoyed school dances, field trips, and even a visit from
First Lady Tracy Quillen. Our upcoming art show in December is just one example
of how our students are thriving. However, we’ve encountered some unexpected
costs as we work to provide the best possible experience for our students.
That’s where we need your help.
We are reaching out today to ask for your support in our BASSE School Launch Fundraising Campaign. Your donation will directly impact our students
by helping us provide:
·
Educational materials and field
trips that enrich learning
·
Physical education equipment to encourage active, healthy lifestyles
·
Art supplies to inspire creativity and
self-expression
·
Community projects, such as a school garden,
that build connections with the environment
·
Upgrades to our school space to ensure a safe and welcoming learning environment
Your generosity will help us continue to build a school that
nurtures not only the academic growth of our students but also their social,
emotional, and physical development.
