Essence Legacy Drill Team

Organization Mission:

The YMCA of Delaware’s mission is to empower youth, foster healthy living, and promote strong communities. Our vision is a healthy, inclusive community where all people reach their full potential.

Essence Legacy Drill Team is a Walnut Street YMCA program that has been serving the Wilmington community for over 3 years. Members of Essence Legacy Drill Team learn and perform the art of music, drill, majorette and color guard. Our members compete within the tri-state area and support community organizations and events by performing and volunteering throughout the year.

During competition season, our team participates in up to 8 competitions in which we perform our art at a top level. Over the years each division of our team has finished top three at our national’s competition and earned two national championships.

Your donation will help the team cover equipment, uniform, travel and stay cost for our upcoming nationals in Baltimore, Maryland. We thank you for your generous contribution.
