We are looking for people to sponsor 10 riders that are on our waiting list for lessons. Sonshine Equine is a non-profit 501(c)(3)  serving Sussex County, DE. The center facilitates healing of body, mind and soul through Equine Assisted Activity Therapy (EAAT) and share the love of Christ. The center's focus is on adults and children with or without special challenges. Equine Assisted Activities  is a therapeutic activity that uses the relationship that develops between a human and horse to positively effect the cognitive, physical, emotional and social well-being of the participants whether or not they have special challenges.

Sonhsine Equine is unique in that we not only focus on riding activities but focus not the whole picture with it comes to horses. This includes learning all aspects of horsemanship such as anatomy, grooming/care, groundwork and how the horses feel and think. It helps develop a strong and relatable bond between the participant and their horse.

Sonshine is a non-profit 501 (c)(3)  teaching center that promotes a caring and loving environment necessary for healing for the children and adults in our local community. The mission of Sonshine is to help facilitate the healing of body, mind and soul through professionally designed and structured Equine Assisted Activities. EAA utilizes the inherent therapeutic benefits of being around horses to enhance non-clinical activities. It is an activity that positively effects the cognitive, physical, emotional and social well-being of the participants. The goal of EAA is to aid in the healing process using horses. The benefits can include building assertiveness, problem solving, develop empathy and compassion. It can also teach tolerance, patience, self-respect, flexibility and strength. This list of benefits are endless.
