About Community Resource Center

Mission: With dignity and respect, the Community Resource Center helps individuals and families get to the next step of their journey towards self-sufficiency and stability.

The Community Resource Center (CRC), a 501(c)(3), volunteer-driven organization, was created in 2011 to assist low income individuals and families in times of need. The people we serve are particularly vulnerable right now. For these families, the economic impact of lost income will translate to spikes in poverty and homelessness, missed meals for children, and increased uncertainty and instability.

With dignity and respect, the Community Resource Center helps individuals and families get to the next step of their journey towards self-sufficiency and stability. Last year, the CRC provided over $500,000 in financial assistance to keep families in their homes by preventing eviction and utility disconnection; helped nearly 1,000 children by providing them with diapers, food, clothing and books; and prevented hunger by giving away over 3,000 bags of groceries each month. We are proud that CRC continued to provide food and assistance to families in need without interruption throughout the pandemic.  Your support this year will go a long way in helping our neighbors in need !

The center is located at 37510 Oyster House Road in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and is staffed by over 70 highly trained volunteers whose tireless efforts work to make our Mission a success. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 10 am until 4 pm. Our Food Rescue and Baby Pantry programs are always grateful to receive donated items. For more information, please call (302) 227-1340.
